There’s a reason you’re not supposed to just chuck those in the garbage.

Many things in our everyday lives can’t be disposed of by just being thrown in the trash. While you probably won’t get arrested for tossing your old flip phone straight into the recycling, it’s not the best plan (it “hurts the planet” and “can explode,” or something). Instead, you’ve gotta take your electronics to a recycling center and pay to recycle them! No wonder they can’t get people to do it!

In this case, someone didn’t want to take the time to properly get rid of their oxygen tank — and as a result, they caused a whole truck’s worth of trash to go kaboom.
